Our Story....

Faith was born and raised in the South and learned to cook from her Mother and Grandmother. She loved the two weeks each summer that she spent on her Grandparents' farm in Mississippi where she snapped beans, shelled peas, helped out in the garden and just enjoyed hanging out with her Grandmother. Okay, so she enjoyed climbing their huge Magnolia tree, riding her Uncle's horses and playing with her cousins as well. What sweet memories she created!

What she remembers the most, however, is the example her Grandmother set for her. Her Grandmother was one of the kindest, most unselfish, gentle and hard working people Faith has ever met. Her love for the Lord shined through in everything she said and did. Life was hard work for her Grandmother, but she had such a sense of family and purpose, as well as a simpler, less hectic lifestyle than ours today. Our grandparents and great-grandparents were much more self-sufficient than we are today and they seemed to have a since of peace and contentment that has been lost in today's fast-paced world. Faith's Grandmother went to be with the Lord in 1988 and she is still missed dearly to this day. It is Faith's desire that through this business, her Grandmother will be honored and the Lord glorified.

So, how did this business evolve? It has been a family tradition of Faith's to have homemade cinnamon rolls each Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since the age of 15 years old, this has been Faith's responsibility and she has always loved it. Faith has three brothers and she has fond memories of them fighting over the last roll. What are sisters for after all?

In the early 1990s, Faith pondered as to whether she could make a business with these rolls. She started writing a business plan with the skills she learned at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), but put it aside to pursue teaching high school math. After teaching for a couple of years, Faith went back into Information Consulting in 1994. In 2001, Faith quit working to come home with the birth of her first son and she has been home ever since. In the recent years, she has been making these rolls not only during the holidays, but also throughout the year for various occasions, as gifts and when her youngest son begs her to make them. Everyone has always raved about them and Faith revisited the idea of starting a business. In early 2009 she finally found a commercial kitchen to use and she was on her way.

After getting the original roll out the door, she began working on a Gluten Free Roll. Faith had to change to a gluten free diet about two years ago and she was determined to create a delicious cinnamon roll that those with gluten intolerance could enjoy. Most people tell us that they cannot believe they are gluten free.

And by the way, Faith's Grandmother's name was "Odelle".
